Organizational Overview
Formed in 1992, the Central Oregon Trail Alliance (COTA) is dedicated to designing, constructing, and maintaining sustainable human-powered multi-use trails and preserving access for mountain bikers through trail stewardship, public outreach, advocacy, and education. COTA is a 501c3 non-profit volunteer organization that works in conjunction with the U.S. Forest Service (USFS), Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and other land managers to enhance the mountain bike riding experience throughout Central Oregon. COTA has more than 1,200 members and established Chapters in Bend, Redmond, Crook County, Madras, Sisters, and Southern Deschutes County.

COTA's mission is to develop, protect, and enhance the Central Oregon mountain bike experience through trail stewardship, advocacy, collaboration, and education. COTA envisions a robust and diverse mountain biking experience that will endure for generations.
