Represent the company as a dynamic sales professional. Work in conjunction with the Business manager, design and operations team to communicate a clear brand message and to transform that message into sales. The appropriate candidate would be a true brand ambassador and act as a key liaison in the ongoing work between the brand, its internal team, our external sales staff and our retailers, with a strong focus on increasing sales and broadening the distribution in multiple marketplaces.

Manage overall Mountainsmith Sales and Distribution in North America
Implement target prospect list and compile prospect list for each territory
Assign targets to sales reps; follow up on progress with sales reps
Monitor key clients’ portals
Analyze key account web sites for optimal sales presentation
Set appointments and present new Mountainsmith product/sales strategy at key account sales meetings
Create and implement Mountainsmith sales program, buying programs, new account incentives, seasonal promotional incentive programs, POP incentive programs
Independent sales rep management
Create and implement sales strategy with Independent Rep Team
Coordinate rep samples for meetings or shows
Request and negotiate sales goals with Reps
Hold Reps accountable for sales goals
Motivate and encourage reps
Update & transmit weekly summary sales report/monthly forecast for stakeholders
Update & transmit sales rep by territory sell thru report
Semi-annual forecast by sales rep/territory
Provide twice-yearly sales forecast by rep/territory to Business Manager
Analyze sell thru for key accounts/design & implement sales strategy for upcoming preseason
Negotiate discount/coop points, dating, product assortments to maximize Mountainsmith profitability
Perform outreach and maintenance of unrepresented Mountainsmith accounts
Outbound phone calls and emails to new and existing accounts to increase sales, write orders, maintain partnerships
Supervise monthly sales rep commission pay outs
supervise commission data reports; confirm payment of Net 30 invoices, submit sales reps' commission to payroll; email monthly commission reports to reps
Supervise set up data for key accounts
IE list of Mountainsmith SKUs/UPC's, pricing; confirm ship dates, dating, discount programs; communicate follow up re: issues on dating, vendor programs, etc.
RE: new product info, new Mountainsmith policies, media updates, polling for feedback to assist with Mountainsmith programs (IE POP)
Create seasonal tools/sales programs to reps
Supervise the Creation of all price sheets, organize distribution of sales samples/collateral, UPC/SKU tables, preseason programs, etc.
Provide input at inventory management meetings
Provide sales history/feedback on each SKU for seasonal inventory forecasting
Supervise fielding and trafficking ASAP & preseason orders from Reps and retailers
Confirm stock availability, qualification for preseason or bonus discount points if applicable, ship dates/PO#s, special shipping requirements if applicable, email copies of order confirms/invoices, etc.
Supervise set up for new dealer accounts in AM
Input dealer application info, confirming all data is complete re: buyer, AP contact, ship/routing information, etc.
Attend Mountainsmith staff meetings
Provide updates re: weekly sales/percentage of goal report; input on all points of agenda, etc.

3-5 years of sales experience (some sales management preferred)
Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing (or applicable experience).
Friendly and professional with a positive attitude a must.
Passion for outdoor recreation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong follow up and organizational skills. Must be able to manage multiple and changing priorities.
Understanding of outdoor business and the company’s position in the market preferred.
Computer literate in Windows environment including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Experience with Power Point, Sage 50 Accounting desirable.
