About the Position.
The Membership Coordinator supports the team by engaging with existing members and cultivating relationships with prospects to reach overall membership sales goals and objectives. This position will interact with members on daily basis.
Essential Functions of the Job.
Encourage prospective members to join OIA by highlighting the value of membership
Ensure OIA members are aware of their membership benefits and utilizing them
Build long-last relationships with OIA members by provide exceptional, attentive member service
·Actively support the department in reaching overall membership sales goals
·Drive retention and recruitment of members; as well as member onboarding and offboarding processes
·Manage retention and recruitment campaigns in coordination with the Marketing team
·Maintain a thorough understanding of OIA benefits and initiatives to aid in retention and recruitment
·Conduct presentations to member and nonmember companies to convey the value of OIA membership
·Work closely with all OIA departments to communicate new and ongoing membership information
·Make outbound calls and emails to prospective leads
·Receive and respond to inbound calls and emails
·Represent OIA at trade shows and events; make regional member visits as needed
·Assist in the implementation and execution of offsite OIA events
·Manage the membership database in Salesforce, ensuring data integrity and accuracy
·Run reports and tracks membership, sales plans, and performance to sales goals; analyze membership data to identify trends and opportunities within the membership and reports finding to the team
·Process new member applications and renewals
·Pull renewal and new member invoices as needed
·Serve as main point of contact for Membership
·Manage customer service needs of the department
·Respond to member and nonmember inquiries promptly, professionally and thoroughly

High working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite products
Proven ability to develop reports and mine data from central ERP system
Required Education and Experience.
BS/BA degree required
Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in a membership sales or relationship building environment
Experience working within ERP systems and databases
Strong interest in the outdoor industry
Preferred Education and Experience.
High working knowledge of Salesforce
Experience in the outdoor industry considered a plus
Experience in the outdoor industry is a bonus.
