We currently have a Regional Sales Manager Sport career opportunity. Territory covers north east and surrounding markets. Travel of approximately 70% required.
As a Regional Sales Manager at Costa Del Mar, you are responsible for the leadership, management and profitability of the assigned sales region by maximizing and growing revenue and profits by selling Costa’s products to existing customers and acquiring new business.
The Regional Sales Manager will consistently achieve established region sales goals through the direction, organization, coordination, communication, coaching and development of Costa’s Territory Sales Representatives. You will be responsible for coordinating with lab management and customer service teams to ensure customer satisfaction as well as ensuring your team is equipped to be successful through training, communication of regional programs, and usage of provided sales tools. This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Sales.
Ensures Territory Sales Representatives are performing necessary territory and account planning activities to achieve sales goals
Monitors key competitor activities within the region, collects competitor price lists and sales materials Communicates with Senior Director of Sales to implement competitive sales strategies
Leads by example an obsession for customer service through direct region and territory customer involvement
Focuses Territory Sales Representatives on monitoring changes in the market and customer base Represents the Region at key customer events and builds customer loyalty
Recruits, hires and orients qualified Territory Sales Representatives
Creates an environment that inspires Territory Sales Representatives to take personal ownership for achieving stretch sales goals and performance improvement
Uses Region Meetings and Ride-withs to develop Territory Sales Representatives capabilities
Provides continuous feedback on Territory Sales Representatives performance
Coordinates with the Senior Director of Sales on development of annual Regional & Territory sales budgets
Monitors overall Region & Territory sales budgets with emphasis on net sales, Cycle Plan initiatives, travel, account seminars and sales meetings
Manages pricing policies with the Senior Director of Sales, recommending changes to ensure sales and margin objectives are met
Recommends and provides input in the development of regional marketing programs
Partners with lab personnel to achieve sales and lab performance targets
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Marketing or related field
Optical, healthcare, and/or retail industry experience preferred
Demonstrated computer skills
Demonstrated presentation skills
Sales training orientation required
Minimum 3 years as Territory Sales Representative required
Optical sales experience preferred
Sports sales experience preferred
Previous management experienced preferred
Proven and demonstrated leadership, communication and administrative skills
