GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
The NASM is responsible for managing and supporting our team of independent sales agencies in achieving the seasonal and annual sales goals. In addition, the NASM is responsible for managing, engaging and overseeing the relationships and business interactions with all retail accounts. The NASM and VPS are ultimately responsible for achieving the annual revenue and profitability goals established by the company. The NASM works with the VPS to develop and execute sales goals and strategies that drive revenue and profitability and identify growth opportunities. The NASM contributes to and helps build SNA’s Strategic Plan from both a broad business perspective as well as more detailed sales forecasting and revenue planning. This role has primary responsibility for all aspects of wholesale sales and collaborates closely with all functions of the company, including the CEO and the following teams: Sales, Marketing, R&D, Finance, Operations and Distribution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop, plan and execute wholesale sales initiatives to achieve company revenue and profitability goals for all products and distribution channels.
Work with VPS to develop sales programs and process controls for Preseason and ASAP campaigns that achieve revenue targets and drive growth, while achieving the profitability goals of the company.
Update and communicate monthly and seasonal sales forecasts and other sales KPIs to the management team.
Develop and present an annual “Retail Business Development” plan to the VPS, CEO and Finance Manager for review and approval
Direct and frequent involvement with the independent sales team to manage wholesale accounts and align sales team goals with overall company goals.
Cultivates high-touch relationship with key retailers and seeks new business relationships beneficial to SNA’s growth strategy.
Conduct seasonal reviews of orders and forecasts by customer and sales agency and execute a seasonal Preseason Order Resell campaign based on booking analysis
Develop and maintain a professional and goal oriented outside sales team focused on continuous improvement, accountability, teamwork, and revenue generating performance.
Provide the Marketing team with direction on merchandising tools and collateral development
Develop the annual wholesale promotional campaigns and schedule and plan with the Marketing team
Advises VPS and SNA organization on competition and market trends, threats, and opportunities.
Represents SNA at national and regional trade shows and/or business functions as necessary.
Key account sales presentations and meetings as required
Attend Outdoor Retailer Trade Show two times per year; other tradeshow attendance as necessary
International travel may be required as necessary to complete job responsibilities
Attend regional trade shows and visit SNA customers as necessary
Territory rep and account visits and meetings as needed
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (the following duties are required on all positions):
Obtain necessary information by maintaining knowledge of SNA’s electronic communication software.
Maintain quality service by establishing, following, and enforcing the organization’s quality system standards.
Uphold SNA’s core values, mission statement and business goals.
Complete other duties as assigned from time to time by your manager.
Maintain technical knowledge by attending sales meetings and product meetings.
Conduct self according to SNA’s policies/Handbook.
External: SCARPA Italy, SNA Dealer Network, Professional and Institutional customers and end consumers, SNA Sales Representatives
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B.A. /B.S.) from a four-year college or university and a minimum of five years related experience/training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Extensive experience and expertise in the sports we support, primarily climbing, skiing, trail running, hiking and backpacking.
REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES OR KNOWLEDGE
Valid Drivers License
Expert level Excel user, proficiency with other Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint); NetSuite or other SNA ERP systems; NPD; REI Pivot link
Lifting to 50lbs. Occasional light to strenuous hiking, backpacking, climbing and skiing.
Business office, trade show booth environments, travel (domestic and international) and work hours as needed to accomplish goals.
