The job of the Dealer Service Rep is to provide the highest level of dealer service and sales support with the focus of driving sales. Driving sales will be achieved by building and maintaining relationships with dealers and independent Sales Reps. The core focus of this position is to execute sales, achieve quick and accurate order processing, and the coordination and fulfillment of orders with dealers and the Deuter USA warehouse. The position requires a solid product knowledge and an understanding of seasonal sales programs. The position also requires an ability to problem solve, and to display effective team work and communications.
Reports to: Deuter Sales Manager and ORTOVOX Sales Manager
Daily / Weekly Responsibilities:
Adjusting preseason, backorder, and forecast orders.
Processing ASAP orders submitted through B2B platform, email, fax, and phone.
Establish a good working relationship with Dealers and External Sales Reps
Answer Dealer and Consumer inquiries
Provide additional support for assigned Key accounts
Maintain a current knowledge of product availability and backorder status
Verify and release orders to the Deuter USA warehouse
Monitor and respond to Dealer and Consumer Email request.
Individual education of all Deuter and Ortovox products as well as competing brands
Attends weekly sales meeting
Entering Preseason and Forecast orders.
Proofing Collateral, Price Lists, Order Forms, Program Forms, POS Forms & catalogs
Entering Salesman Sample orders
National & Regional trade show attendance
Act as brand ambassador at consumer events
Regional Dealer visits
Understand, review, and communicate dealer routing guides to the warehouse
Attend seasonal product training of new product
Communicate and drive sales through seasonal sales programs
Perform other tasks as required
Strive for efficiency in executing responsibilities; work quickly and accurately to finish all jobs at hand; maintain a sense of urgency at all times; and meet or exceed turn-around times and due dates.
Regularly communicate issues, progress and problems to the management, together with thoughtful possible solutions.
When assigned particular tasks, ensure you understand what the task is and the desired outcome.
Creates a positive atmosphere for dealers, reps, and in-house team members.
Minimum 2 years of wholesale or retail customer service experience
Experience in sales and operations within the outdoor industry is preferred
High proficiency with Microsoft Office; with emphasis on Excel
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or other ERP system preferred
Customer service phone etiquette and positive attitude.
